Hotel Stay at PGH

The 2-week school holiday is fast coming to an end. We did not go anywhere and spent most of our time staying at home and hanging out at nearby malls. Going for a 2D1N stay at the Palace of the Golden Horses was about the only "holiday destination" that we had. We were there from 29-30th May.

Running round and round along the circle at the lobby while daddy was checking in

PGH is a hotel that I am very familiar with. Daddy and mummy have been bringing me here (almost every year) since I was a newborn. This year, the hotel had a new look. The room was newly refurbished and we loved it very much...

The rooms looked brighter with their white-gold-beige-grey colour scheme

Daddy booked 2 adjoining rooms and we had all the 3 beds to ourselves!

Of course, swimming is a must-do activity in all our hotel stays

There were 2 water slides and I went on both of them many times.... I think more than 20 times in total

We drove to the nearby Mines shopping mall for dinner. I loved the spacious play area of the kopitiam where we dined in

The next morning, I "demanded" for a bubble bath because I saw mummy enjoying hers the night before

After bath, it was homework time!

After an extended late check-out at 2pm, we left the car at the hotel and walked to the mini jetty in the hotel compound. I wanted to go on a boat-ride and have been requesting for this since the day before.

We took a boat to the Mines shopping mall... again.

Enjoying my boat-ride... this 10-minute ride cost daddy RM24 (RM8 per pax for everyone above age 3)

I spotted this playland in the amusement centre and gazed into mummy's eyes for approval. At only RM3 per entry with unlimited play time, it was difficult for her to say no. Besides, I am going to outgrow this kind of playland very soon.

Needless to say, I had a blast here... jumping, crawling, sliding, laughing and having loads of fun although I was playing all alone...

From the mall, we took a hotel shuttle back to the hotel to get our car. One last photo before we headed home...

Weekend Getaway @ Holiday Inn Glenmarie

We went for another hotel stay last Saturday. It was somewhere very near home. Near home as in, well, let's just put it this way: Mummy wanted to take a photo of me when the welcome drinks were served. It was then that she realized the camera was left at home. Luckily her handphone was with her (she leaves this at home even more frequently!)

Refreshing juice and cold towels (photo taken with mummy's handphone)

The lobby and Cafe Terrace (also taken with mummy's handphone)

So apa lagi, we took a short drive home to get our camera :) Okay, back to the hotel room, there was a small glitch in the hotel's reservation system. After quite a long wait to check in, we were given a room upgrade to Executive Club :)

Our room number... not a very auspicious number for the superstitious Chinese hehe but we aren't superstitious, so no big deal for us :p

The room was very pleasant, comfortable and clean, clean as in dust-free (mummy's sensitive nose could tell if a room is dust-free or not)
The pillows came in "soft" and "firm" (two each)

The view from our room... a golf course. Nice!

When can we go swimming???? *sulk*

The view of the swimming pool from the entrance of our room

Wow, the whole pool to ourselves? Unfortunately, barely 2 minutes after getting into the pool, we felt raindrops on our heads... and soon, it was pouring!

Stranded in the little hut... we listened to the rhythm of the rain and waited patiently for it to stop...

... and it did! About 20 minutes later, it was clear blue skies all the way :)

Fun!

Come and join in the fun, mummy! But no, mummy was too engrossed in this page-turner (book) hehe...

The pool is all "ours"... yay!!

Dinner at Kites Restaurant. This was our third time dining here (using our complimentary vouchers for 2 adults). They did not charge me this time. When we dined here the second time, the restaurant insisted that daddy paid the child fare for me (children above 5 years old were chargeable)... such inconsistent regulations. Hmph!

The food here was so-so only... yet daddy and mummy spent hours eating and enjoying themselves!

When I got bored and restless, mummy bribed me with marshmallows to keep me quiet hehe :p

The bribing didn't last long. After a few minutes, I went over to her and whispered in her ears "Hurry up, mummy. I need to go to the toilet!" (for my big biz)! Of course, they quickly took their last bite and left in a hurry hahaha!

Let me tell you a secret, mummy... I need to "go"!

What about my "hotel homeworks"? Well, of course, I read my books and did my homework as diligently as usual...

This was the sight that daddy and mummy woke up to the next morning... I was quietly doing my homework (workbooks brought from home) after waking up earlier than them :)

From School to Pool

This afternoon, right after school, on our way home, out of the blue, I suggested swimming. Mummy's immediate response was NO cos it was scorching hot at 2:30pm!

As soon as we reached home, mummy peered down at the swimming pool from the window of the lift lobby and noticed that the pool was partially quite shady. This got her thinking... if I can't swim on a hot day, then there would never be a better day for this. Cold, rainy or windy days are definitely a big no-no. Furthermore, daddy has been paying monthly maintenance fees for underutilized amenities!

Mummy changed her mind on the spot. Next to get changed was me... changed into my swimming suit, of course!

I suggested swimming because I found these "treasures" in my baby toy box yesterday. I used to play with them in the pool when I was younger... just like this.

Wish granted! *So happy* I missed my baby toys so much...

The whole swimming pool to myself!

Poured water on myself to douse the fire within (it was sweltering hot, before the thunderstorm in the evening)

Closed my eyes and hummed a few songs while floating around... aaaaaah, sheer bliss!

HRH Penang - Last Day

We had breakfast in another restaurant today... the Pizzeria. The dining area was just beside the beach and we enjoyed being fanned by the cool sea breeze while we ate.

Breakfast with a view

I enjoyed the breakfast very much and ate quite a lot!

Some... just SOME of the stuff that we ate...

After breakfast, we took a morning walk at the beach again...

A happy shot with daddy

ChloeRuoyi was here...

When we were out the whole day yesterday, I kept bugging daddy and mummy with the question "When can we go back to the hotel? I want to go swimming". I kept asking that after every 5 minutes. Yes, I was that annoying!

Mummy allowed me to have 30 minutes in the pool today and I was elated!

Yeaaaah! Swimming again!

Sliding down my favourite "Purple Twisty" slide

Riding piggyback on daddy around the big pool

Happy until cannot see the eyes!

After swimming, we whiled away the rest of our time doing crazy things in the room. Daddy "taught" me how to jump on the bed...

Yipeeee! I coincidentally made matching gestures with Paul McCartney in the poster (in the background)

We also turned on the hi-fi and danced and laughed til our bellies ached hehehe...

Another happy shot with mummy

One last pic before we said goodbye...

Finally, it was time to leave for home. As soon as I entered the car, tears rolled down my cheeks. In between silent sobs, I repeated "I'm going to miss the hotel... I miss the hotel..."

Daddy appointed a co-driver on our journey home... mummy. She was once again "conned" into driving and she actually drove the most difficult part of the journey... over 100km in a thunderstorm, with such poor visibility on the highway...

*mad tension*

Phew! Luckily we managed to reach home safely :)
