Pricked By My Enemy!

I hate durians. I do not eat it and I will run as far as possible from anyone who is eating it. Last Sunday, something happened at our usual fruit shop in Seremban when Gung-gung was busy picking some bananas while mummy was going through a crate of guavas inside the shop. Suddenly, they heard a commotion and when mummy came out to check what was going on, she saw me holding back my tears!

Apparently, while jumping around (I was restless like a monkey after a hearty breakfast) at the entrance of the shop, clumsy me had tripped over a small step right beside a pile of durians. In that split-second of my fall, I ter-grabbed a durian to support myself and break the fall. OUCH!

The scene of the thorny accident

Luckily it was only a light prick but it was painful enough to cause me a few hours of agony. Actually two of the "holes" were quite deep and were near to bleeding. I did not move my hand for quite a while until we reached home and Gung-gung applied some "magic" medicine on it haha!

Later that evening, I had pink polka dots on my palm hehe!

Oh yes, right after the accident, Gung-gung bought a few durians from that pile (for revenge) and they all had a durian feast at home. Of course, I quickly ran as far as I could, away from their stinky indulgence!

Cheered-up By The Plaster

Let's put the blame on mummy... for buying me that cheap pair of fake Crocs, which "beat" my leg and caused a painful blister on it!

It was a brief, after-dinner shopping at the Tropicana City Mall with Mah-mah and Yeh-yeh. After walking around for just 1 hour plus, I started to complain "leg pain". I kept crying and refused to walk anymore so daddy had to carry me.

Back home, I was still crying and fretting over the small lesion on my leg and refused to go to bed... until mummy took out a box of Hansaplast Junior with cute animal prints...

Sssssss... pain-pain

My face lit up instantly the moment I saw those cute and colourful plasters! I even giggled at the very sight of them haha. I had a hard time choosing one, though. Each one was equally cute and I liked them all.

All smiles :-)

Finally, after about 10 minutes of indecisiveness, I chose the green one with a kangaroo.

No more pain-pain

I was so happy and felt so "healed", I fell asleep right away!

My First Mouth Ulcer

At 3 years, 3 months, 3 weeks old, I had my very first mouth ulcer. It all happened when I accidentally bit the corner of my lip while chomping on my dinner yesterday.

I kept complaining to mummy "my lip pain"... Luckily this did not affect my appetite at all. The next day, it was completely healed (without any medications). No more ulcer and no more pain in just a matter of... hours :-)

Finger-ache

Gung-gung helped me cut my fingernails today (without mummy's knowledge and she wasn't even aware of it at all). Due to either his poor eyesight or zero experience in cutting kids' fingernails, he had cut them way too deep...

I was fussy and irritable the whole day. I kept sticking out my thumb. I refused to touch anything with it and refused to let anyone touch it, while complaining "pain-pain" every now and then. When mummy finally realized something was wrong, she asked me what happened. I told her "I knocked it there" (while pointing outwards directionlessly). I told her a lie to protect my beloved Gung-gung!

Later when mummy checked my fingers again, she discovered that nearly all my 10 fingers were similarly "injured". Adui! *Heartache*

The most badly affected one was my right thumb... therefore it was literally sticking out like a sore thumb!

Little Miss Tough

Besides being Fearless, I am also quite rough and tough at times. This morning, something happened that caused quite a deep gash on my lower lip. It was bleeding too...

Mummy knew nothing about it because I did not cry or complain to her at all. She only noticed it much later when she was feeding me lunch. When asked what happened, I just casually said "I knocked on the Little Mermaid book".

Well, that Little Mermaid book is very thick and heavy so mummy accepted it as a valid reason.

Pain in the Butt

After my Pneumococcal jab yesterday morning, I started complaining of "butt pain-pain" yesterday night. Mummy didn't give it much thought and assumed everything would be ok the next morning.

However, I woke up crying this morning and continued to complain "butt pain-pain". To emphasize to mummy how much pain I was in, I even walked with a limp! I laid down on my side on the sofa the whole morning, for nearly 3 hours without moving. I also had a mild fever of 37.5 C. Hmm... mummy was quite puzzled because the doctor had told her that the jab would not cause any side effects.

Everytime mummy asked me "Pain-pain how?", I'd give her this look...

Kesian...

After taking a single dose of fever medicine, I was well and back to my usual self again, jumping here and there. Phew! What a relief! *mummy wipes sweat*

Pung Kok-kok

Firstly, pung kok-kok simply means "fall down and knock-knock". Pung is the baby language for "fall down" and kok means "knock" in Cantonese.

This phrase is coined by mummy and it is the most often-heard phrase at home. "B, be careful, pung kok-kok ar". "Hey, don't do that, pung kok-kok ar". "Stop jumping like that, pung kok kok ar". Blah, blah, blah, pung kok-kok ar.

However, on this fateful day, mummy didn't give me the pung kok-kok warning because I wasn't doing something that would potentially result in pung kok-kok.

I was happily reading my book when suddenly, I was hit by a lazy-bug, which caused me to hit my head on the floor as I was trying to lie down. What a humiliating wrong judgement. I thought I was in the middle of the mattress! Because of my carelessness, pung kok-kok lor!

Self-abuse

I am quite prone to mosquito bites, especially in Mah-mah and Ah Ma's house where I never fail to attract them. Even when I am back at home and there isn't any mosquitoes around, I still continue to scratch like a monkey.

Scratch, scratch, scratch...

Look ma, these are my self-made temporary tattoos. Nice, eh?

Knee Injury

I injured my knee for the very first time, on the eve of my birthday. It happened at Mah-mah's house where I was careless... I tripped and fell on the car porch. It bled a little and Yeh-yeh put on a plaster for me. By the end of the day, the wound had dried up:

Later in the evening when mummy came over, I pretended to cry, pointed to my knee and said "Pain-pain. Mummy sek-sek. Mummy blow." Mah-mah laughed at me and teased me when she saw me manja-ing mummy like that...

My Chipped Tooth

Finally, a picture of my chipped tooth...

Can you see it? Actually the one beside it (on my left) is also slightly chipped at the corner but only someone as observant as daddy and mummy will be able to notice it.

Flu updates

I rubbed my nose and cheek so much and so hard until my skin got very badly inflamed. On the 6th day, the inflamed skin got hardened and started to peel off. This is the disastrous effect of what seemed like a mild flu:

It’s difficult to convince people that I’m not a child abuse victim but just a flu victim…

My Careless Mum

One fine evening, as we were preparing to go to mah-mah's house, I gave mummy a "surprise" bitter lesson. I had just put on my shoes and was about to step out of the house when I suddenly felt an intense pain on my left fingers. OUCHHHHH! Mummy had closed the door while my hand was still holding on to the door frame and "kiap" (pinched/squashed) my fingers. As a result, my skin was partially scraped off but guess what? I only let out a less-than-10-seconds cry. What a tough girl I am.

Mummy, next time when you close the door, remember to watch out for my fingers, ok!
