Mummy suggested going to Sogo when we spotted the building nearby. It was my very first visit to this mall. Despite being a working day in KL, the mall was very crowded.
The very, very simple Christmas decor in the mall
We went to a place which was less crowded... my favourite, of course. It was the amusement centre. Mummy bought RM5 worth of tokens for me to enjoy some of the rides there...

When it was time to leave, (unpleasant) surprise! We were faced with an extremely difficult exit out of the mall. We got stuck in a miserably frustrating traffic jam. It took us 1 hour and 15 minutes to exit the mall from our parking lot in Basement 3!
The traffic was at a standstill most of the time. Inching forward at snail's pace, daddy googled for Sogo's contact number on his Blackberry to find out the cause of the jam. We were told that the jam started from the main road outside the mall and there was nothing that the mall could do.
We spent only 1.5 hours shopping in the mall and wasted 1.25 hours leaving the carpark. How ridiculous. For that, we were further slapped with a RM8 parking fee! We vowed never to go back there again (at least not by car).
I used to frequent Sogo when I was working around there. That was more than 10 years ago..haha. Those days not many big malls around..hehe.
ReplyDeleteThe place never changed huh...jam and crowded. We brought Gwen once..I think it was 2 years ago. We parked at the open space carpark. The mall is lousy. LOL. We will never go there again too.
Wah so terrible jam. Seldom shop at Sogo but previously I worked as a promoter there during school holiday haha.
