First Field Trip

I've been telling mummy about my anticipated first field trip since last week. I kept telling her that "Teacher said must sleep early and wake up early, teacher said cannot push each other at the playground, teacher said this, teacher said that etc."

Well, today's the day. I had no problem waking up early at 6:45am this morning. Instead of walking to school today, daddy sent me to conserve my energy hehe. I went by bus with my teachers and classmates while mummy went separately with MX's (my classmate) parents, who drove there.

It was mummy's first visit to this park too. It's quite a small but beautiful park... clean, scenic and serene.

Didn't want to "choy" mummy...

We were all having a picnic when mummy arrived. I guess I was too stunned to see her (because I did not expect to see her here). While my friends kept yelling and telling me "RY, your mummy! RY, your mummy is here!" I quickly turned away and refused to look at her. That's how naughty I was!

After a simple snack of buns and water, we joined the rest of the kids from other schools (same school, different branches) at the playground. The whole place was swarmed with little tots! Too many of them... 4 bus-loads, altogether! Mummy kept following us from behind, snapping photos like a "mamarazzi".

We had a great time playing together. We also took a group photo. Only 8 (out of 11) of us went for the trip.

Next, we took a walk around the park... one whole round. The weather was exceptionally good. Although it was 11am+, it wasn't hot at all, thank goodness.

Work and play are just the same, that's the Montessori way...

Look! There are so many tortoises (or are they terrapins?) in the lake! One of the metal bars on this little platform was missing so Miss E kept holding us back and warning us not to go too near to the edge.

Most of us were sweating by the time we finished the walk. We changed into fresh, dry clothes and sat down to take a rest...

Rest? We didn't need any rest at all... only a few minutes after freshening up, we started swinging around like monkeys. I was happily "pole-dancing" too haha!

Soon, it was time to head over to our next destination... McDonald's Centrepoint in Bandar Utama for lunch. The whole upper floor was packed with us kids!

It was my second McD meal in less than a week! *mummy frowned a bit* I had this in Krys' birthday party last Saturday.

I ate 3 pieces of nuggets and some fries. I did not touch the carbonated drink at all.

After filling up our tummies, we did some singing and action songs. See, the teachers even brought along a keyboard for this.

After a round of musical activities, we were each given a sweet treat - vanilla sundae. Yummy!

Finally, it was time to go home. Goodbye! Till we meet again in Field Trip 2!

From Bread to Bento

*Churn* *Twist* *Stir* The gentle sound of the breadmaker drew me into the kitchen. It was going through the dough-kneading process. Curious, I asked: Mummy, can you please carry me up there? I want to see the bread...

Let me take a peek first...

Ooooh, that's how bread is made.

It was 11pm (3 hours later) when the bread was ready and I was already sound asleep. I did not get to eat it fresh from the breadmaker. I had it for lunch the following day...

Mummy's homemade wholewheat bread with cheese...

... which was part of the cincai bento set that she prepared for me for lunch today

Grapes, organic corn with butter, baby strawberries, carrot sticks and a star-shaped hard-boiled free-range chicken egg (the egg was too small so it did not turn out very nice)

Mmm... it's yummy! Can you make it again?

The bread was quite thick and filling. I polished off everything on the plate and left only a few grapes behind (because that's my least favourite hehe).

Colourful Sun Catcher

Several weeks ago, while we were checking out some of the new shops in Sunway Giza, we came across this arts & crafts shop. Something must have caught my eyes when I insisted on going in to take a look. I kept tugging and pulling mummy into this shop.

I pretended to browse and look interested in all the crafty stuff being sold there. After scrutinizing almost every item, I asked mummy "Can I have this, pleeeeeeease?" I don't always ask for things when we go shopping. Surprised by my unusual request, mummy bought it for me...

Cute sun catcher key-chains

Mummy helped me with the butterfly... (when dried, the paint became jelly-like transparent)

I painted the dolphin all by myself (but mummy did some touching-up later)

Look at the pretty and colourful shadow (as compared to the shadow of my hand)

The original set came with only 2 key-chains. To use up the leftover paint, we returned to the shop to buy 2 more. I really like them a lot. Every day, I would touch and admire them here...

A Birthday Party

For the very first time, I got an invitation to attend a birthday party. Held at the McDonald's in Equine Park, it was the 3rd birthday party of lil missy Krystal.

It was quite a long journey from home so I had a good 1-hour nap in the car. When I woke up upon arrival, I was all eager to... play! As usual, I was more interested in the playground than anything else.

After "working out" at the playground, it was makan-time. Strangely, for the very first time, I gobbled up 2 pieces of chicken nuggets and said "nice" haha. Before this, I would not even touch it or go near it!

Yay! I have a balloon! And a Happy Meal! How not to be happy?

Pinjam sit on the "throne", can?

There were a few more other kids there but I did not manage to have any photos taken with them.

The very lovely cake and cuppies!

Little bees and little mushrooms. I got the mushroom one. It's so cute, are you sure it's edible?

A cupcake moment... yum yum!

Soon, it was time to leave. To Auntie Irene and Uncle Kelwin, thank you for the awesome party and gift pack!

On the way home, we happened to pass by IOI Mall so... just popped in for a quick stroll. When I saw the full-size carousel there, I was instantly captivated. Since we rarely visited this place, cincai lah... daddy bought me a ride ticket. Yipee!

Seeing Double

One day, while dining in a restaurant, something in the large mirror caught my eyes. I think it was my "twin sister"...

Hi there, how come you look exactly like me?

I ran up and down the aisle with "her", held "her" hands, danced with "her", made funny faces at "her" and even kissed "her". I really had fun playing with my "playmate" hahaha!

Cute or Nerdy?

We were having lunch in Fullhouse - Lifestyle Store and Cafe. After finishing our meal, mummy went to browse the merchandises sold in the restaurant. She came across this cute, round-framed specs... and she curi-curi put it on me!

Little Miss Nerdy

As usual, I must sit on this little car before leaving...

The Sleeping Un-beauty on a HOT Day

It was a very HOT afternoon... I was about to take my afternoon nap but couldn't fall asleep comfortably in the sweltering heat. I kept hinting to mummy "it's so hot.... it's very hot", hoping that she'd switch on the air-con for me.

*Fan, fan, fan* Fanning myself with a hand-fan

However, my manual hand-fan was just as good because I fell asleep soon after, without any further fuss, like this...

And then, about 10 minutes into my sleep, I sleep-walked! I got up, walked around the living room half-awake, returned to the sofa, plopped on it like this and continued with my warm slumber...

Hahaha! Like that also can! *Mummy shakes head*
