Weekday Getaway at KL Hilton

While most people flee from the city for their weekend getaways, we did just the opposite. We checked-in into a hotel in the city, on a weekday, simply to... unwind.

We loved the spacious and luxurious bathroom the most.
It was furnished with Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries. The vanity mirror even came fitted with a mini tv screen. Cool!

We went swimming (dipping, to be precise) in the afternoon, almost immediately after lunch!
Resting inside the comfy, big, round chair at the poolside, with mummy.

Let's not waste anymore time, mummy. Hurry, let's go...
While playing in the kids' wading pool, my butterfly ring got snatched away by some rowdy kids (foreign tourists).

I refused to leave the pool again (as usual) until mummy suggested a bubble bath back in our hotel room.

From the pool to the bathtub. Aaaaah.... blissful!

After bath, we lazed around, watched tv and dozed off in bed, all 3 of us. After a good nap, we walked around and self-toured the hotel. Soon, it was dinnertime. We had buffet dinner at the Sudu Restaurant.

Eat "cane". I loved this crunchy bread-stick the most. We had about 5 sticks, I think.

Here are some of the food that we ate...
I ate quite a lot too... rice with fish and chicken, 2 mini pizzas, ice-cream and quite a lot of bread-sticks.

I was so addicted to the chocolate fondue (from the chocolate fountain), I stuffed myself silly with it (dipped with the bread-stick).
After our sumptuous dinner, as we were leaving, the waiter gave me a small gift... a cute pair of chopsticks.

After dinner, we walked over to Le Meridien for a walk before returning to our room to rest and call it a day.

I was so happy... I think I must have smiled in my sleep haha.

The next day, we just lazed around and lepak-ed at the poolside again...

*Envy* I was observing some kids, probably thinking "How come they get to play in the swimming pool and I don't? So not fair..."

Soon, it was time to go home. Bye-bye hotel. We'll be back (hopefully) haha.

Goat's Milk, Anyone?

After reading and hearing so much about the goodness of goat's milk and how superior it is compared to cow's milk, mummy finally bought some for me to try...

However, she bought the flavoured ones for me because she was afraid that I might not like the plain one with the strong "goaty" smell. She even tricked me and told me that it was "Vitagen". So, did I like it?

I LOVED it! (maybe because I really thought that it was Vitagen haha)

Mmmm, good till the last drop!

Latest update: I tried the chocolate flavoured one in the glass bottle today. It's mildly chocolate-y, unsweetened and the "goaty" smell was too overwhelming. Yucks! After just one sip, I surrendered the bottle to mummy and told her "It's not nice" (mummy agreed too). I still prefer the other type, in soft pack.

Day Trip to Ipoh

Since it was a long weekend, we decided to make a day trip to Ipoh to visit some relatives and indulge ourselves with some dearly-missed Ipoh goodies. We went in 2 cars, together with Mah-mah, Yeh-yeh, Koo-koo, Nel koo-jeong and Hayley jie-jie.

We woke up unusually early at 6:00am. We were supposed to leave home at 6:30 but dilly-dallied until 7.00. Hayley jie-jie kept me occupied throughout our 2-hour journey there.

My Melody dollhouse - one of the toys that kept us happily occupied in the car

We reached Ipoh just in time for breakfast. We had dim sum at Foh San. It was our first time in their new and swanky outlet. I ate 3 fishballs and a piece of ma-lai-gou (a type of cake/kuih). That's it. I wasn't interested in all the other weird-looking stuffs.

Enjoying my dim-sum at Foh San

After that, we visited some relatives. First stop was to Yee-Por's house. Then we popped over to Sook-Gung's house. This time, surprisingly, I was quite friendly and warmed up to everyone almost instantly.

Playing some toys with cousin Gabriel

After that, we had lunch in a seafood restaurant nearby. We also packed home some horhee (hor-fun with fish cake and fish balls) for dinner, together with some other goodies.

Yummy egg tarts and cream caramel

This was how I ate the tarts...

I ate only the crusts...

... and left the best part behind!

*Daddy and mummy shook their heads* and *grinned* cos that delicious custard (that I left behind) went into their tummies!

Clumsiness Comes With a Price

Nice to see, nice to hold. Once broken, considered sold.

The above phrase was applied for the first time in our lives today!

It happened in Jusco, Sunway Pyramid, when I was playing with some Christmas snow globes. Under mummy’s strict supervision, she made sure that I handled each one with extra care. After playing, mummy even praised me for being so gentle and careful.

The place where it happened...

While turning around to leave, dunno how, my arm somehow moved too swiftly and in a split second, I had swept a few of the plastic snow globes off the display shelf and onto the floor. Crash! When I looked down, my shoes and the lower part of my pants were soaked. Gosh!

Soon, the sales assistant arrived to inspect the damaged item (luckily only ONE broke) and told mummy “I’m sorry ma’am. You have to pay for this.” Mummy was so embarrassed and angry (at me for putting her in the spot), she quickly went to pay for the broken item and left in a hurry. Luckily it was only RM8.90, after discount. Phew!

Despite being extra cautious, accidents could still happen. I was so extremely terrified over the whole incident, I quickly climbed onto my stroller, closed my eyes and fell asleep almost instantly. Mummy didn’t get the chance to nag me. How clever, huh?

A broken present for Christmas...

Beryl's Chocolate Wonderland

We spent the whole day at Sunway Pyramid today. The main attraction here was this Beryl's Chocolate Wonderland. It felt like a mini Genting and I had a great time playing on almost all the rides.

We didn't know about the Wonderland at first, so mummy "wasted" RM1 sharing this mini carousel with another kid haha

I Want to Get Married

Seated on mummy's lap, we were hugging and kissing each other when suddenly, I was struck by this geram-attack. I squeezed her cheeks, hugged her tightly, and said:

I LOVE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH! I WANT TO MARRY YOU!

In between chuckles, mummy wondered... where did I learn that from???!!!

I Want To Be 200

I like to stand at the height measuring chart and say "I want to be one hundred" (although I have no idea what that means). Maybe because earlier, mummy was always asking "have you reached 100 yet?"

Today, I did that again. Standing at the chart, I said loudly...

Me: I want to be one hundred! I want to be one hundred!
Mummy: You ARE already 100. You are one hundred and three (referring to my height of 103cm)!
Me: Oh... *paused for a 5-second thought* Then I want to be 200!
Mummy: *gasp* Oh no you don't! You'd be a giant then. Cannot shop for clothes. Cannot find boyfriend bla bla bla...

LOL!

103cm - that's my current height, at 3 years 4 months old

Sunset Poses

Sometimes in the evening, if the weather is good (and if I have been good), mummy would bring me to the playground. While I swing and slide and bounce from one playground equipment to another, mummy would admire the beautiful sunset from the recreational area of our apartment...

Today, just because mummy picked up a flower (dropped on the ground) and placed it on my ear, I kept posing...

and posing...

and tilted my head like this... (did this on my own, mummy didn't teach me)

and smiled like this

and like this, trying to look cute

and showed my cheeky look

and well... err, that's it. No more idea...

Ok, the sun has set. Let's go home.

Bye-bye sun! Bye-bye playground!
