Arts n Crafts Day: Yoghurt Cup Animals

Do you like to eat yoghurt? I do! But what do you do with the cups after emptying its content? If you are like mummy, I'm sure you will automatically throw them all away. Well, mummy has thrown away dozens of such cups before she realized she could actually make something out of them.

Don't throw these cups away... I'll show you why :)

Since this craft required mainly cutting work with a pair of very sharp scissors, mummy did all the cutting while I was given an easier task...

Drawing dots and lines and gluing the googly eyes onto the animals

Introducing..... the red series:

Crab, ladybird, jellyfish and octopus

Close-up of Little Jellyfish

Introducing... the brown series:

Animals puppets... dog, bear, moose and cat

Close-up of Little Cat

The whole gang

From trash to treasure... I just love 'em!

  9. Chinnee: The idea just popped into my mind :) It all started with the ladybird... and then the crab and before I knew it, the red gang was created. Feeling "inspired", I went to buy the brown ones (chocolate flavour) to make the animals puppets. Just like that lor... ;)

  22. Slavemom: The material is not that hard... can easily cut it with a pair of sharp scissors. It isn't as difficult as it looks actually. The jellyfish took me about 5 mins to cut. Cincai only ler. If you look closely, you should be able to spot my poor workmanship... the jagged edges and all hehe.

  29. HweiLi:
I am impressed with your work!

I bet you are a very patient mommy. See the craftwork you have done with Chloe, "they" surely required some time to make it and of course you need to have patience to explain to Chloe too.
