Mah-Mah's Birthday

Today is Mah-Mah's 70th birthday. Daddy came home early from work to bring us all out for dinner. As soon as we reached Mah-mah's house, I wished her "Happy birthday" and "Sang yat fai lok". Mah-mah was so happy...

After dinner, we went home to eat cakes. Koo-ma bought a few slices of Green-tea Tiramisu cake and Durian cake. They were very, very delicious!

In the Car

Everytime we go out, I will...

- open the car door by myself
- get into the car by myself
- close the door by myself
- fasten my seatbelt without being told
- remind daddy and mummy to fasten their seatbelts too (without fail)

I go gai-gai ler... Bye!

My 1st Passport

Daddy was on leave today so we decided to get our passports done. Although we woke up quite late today, daddy eagerly said "Let's go and make our passports". He had to "renew" his expired one too. We went to the nearest Immigration Dept in Subang.

The first thing we did was to have my photo taken at the booth there. It turned out quite OK...

Luckily it was not very crowded today. We reached here at 10am+. There were 10 people ahead of us in the queue so we waited nearly 1 hour for our turn. While waiting, I got a bit restless after sitting down for a few minutes.

It was quite boring. I sat down, walked around, sat down again, played with daddy's watch, kacau mummy while she was reading the newspaper...

Mummy measured my height at the counter and it was 100cm! But she wrote 98cm on the form. It is better for me to appear taller than the stated height rather than the other way around.

Afterthat, we went out for lunch and ran a few errands. We went back to the Immigration Dept at 2pm to collect my very first passport.

I Love Bribes

Yes, I love bribes. My favourite is anything cold from the fridge or freezer. In our home, bribing occurs most frequently at meal times. Sometimes when I'm struggling to finish up my meal, I will hope and dream and wait to hear the magic phrase "If you finish your rice, mummy will give you Yakult/Calci-yum/popsicle etc."

Mummy knows this is a bad practice but sometimes she just wants to reward me with little treats for adhering to a certain condition. I even know how to drop hints when mummy tries to avoid this question. It's a good thing that this doesn't happen often.

I love this frozen yoghurt popsicle. Mummy loves the non-drip popsicle stick. It has a built-in straw for me to suck the melted yoghurt. I can eat it on my own without mummy worrying over the sticky floor or messy clean-up work.

Dress

My dresses are fast shrinking in my cupboard. Mummy rarely dresses me in dresses because she thinks I don't look feminine and graceful enough in them. So, it's always pants and t-shirt/blouse everytime we go gai-gai.

Today, although we did not go anywhere, mummy put on this dress for me and tied my hair...

Torn

Daddy is not only a book lover. He will painstakingly wrap each book with plastic wrapper everytime he comes home with new books.

He even wrapped mine although mummy told him "No need lah... you are wasting your energy". Surprisingly, this book managed to remain nicely wrapped for many months until a few days ago...

... when my cow-power reared its ugly head. How in the world did I tear this? The plastic is not those cheapo, thin type... it's actually quite thick *mummy shakes her head*

Just look at how nicely torn it is... with a wavy pattern summore

With this, mummy happily told daddy "I told you so!" Hahaha.

32 Months Old

I am 32 months old today.

- Height: 98cm Weight: 15kg
- I ask questions that seek details. When I see a bird, I'll ask "What bird is that?" The same goes for other things like trees, flowers, fish etc.
- I love bribes and surprises. If mummy promises me something and forgets about it, I will surely remind her "Mummy, you said give me something?"
- I am quite nosey and like to know what's happening around me. When mummy talks on the phone, I always ask "who's that?" When daddy and mummy are talking, I want to join in too. I am also forever asking "What are you doing?" and "What happened?"
- I still love to make funny and ugly faces when told to smile at the camera

Play "Job-job"

Me: Mummy, afterturds I wanna play job-job
Mummy: What's that?
Me: job-job
Mummy: Huh?
Me: jooooooob!
Mummy: Sorry, I dunno what is that.
Me: Let me go and take it... (I know where mummy hides some of my toys now, esp those that she doesn't want me to play on my own)

Me: This one ar.....

Mummy: Ooooh... chop-chop.

Then she taught me the proper name for it although she didn't know what the proper name was. She just simply said "Ink and Stamps".

I quite like this set of Ink and Stamps. Everytime I play this, I will take the cardboards to line the floor without being told. While playing, I will carefully make sure I don't smear or dirty the floor and its surroundings.

Under the Piano

This morning, while mummy was busy with some work...

Me: Mummy, come and see BB... Mummy, come and see BB!
Mummy: What are you doing?
Me: I'm under the piano.

Mummy was thinking "What? Under the piano? Wrong preposition gua." Then she came out to take a look. Her first reaction was an alarming "Oh no!!" but then she ended up chuckling instead.

It was a funny sight to see me "camping" here

Why? Because this is one of the DUSTIEST place in the whole house! Luckily, very luckily, she just wiped it yesterday. If not, hmm.... (sure kena marah for nothing)

The Morning Goodbye

For nearly 2 months, I have been consistently waking up quite early at 7am every morning. Every working morning without fail. Why?

... because I want to hug and kiss daddy before he leaves for work. Daddy must first kiss me to wake me up on my bed. Then I'll jump out of bed and follow him to the front entrance for a 2nd round of goodbye hugs and kisses.

What happens if daddy leaves for work quietly without waking me up? I'd cry, of course! Cry and cry and cry while whining "I wanna kiss daddy... Waaaaaaa... I wanna hug-hug daddy... Waaaaaaaa...." This happened a few times when I woke up, couldn't find him and thought he had left (but he was still somewhere in the house). *Mummy shakes head*

Just Like Her

I like to imitate the way mummy talks and the things she says. It tickles mummy to see me echoing her words back at her so often...

- Sometimes when I talk to her and she doesn't respond, I'll ask in frustration "Are you listening or not?" just like her.

- Whenever mummy accidentally drops some crumbs while eating, I'll go "See, so messy! Mummy, don't make messy-messy ar!" just like her.

- Sometimes when I see that she's about to eat something, I'll ask "Is your hand clean?" or "Did you wash your hand?" just like her.

- When I'm preoccupied with something (usually with some toys), I'll warn her "Mummy, don't disturb me, I'm doing some work!" just like her.

- And when she makes some silly mistakes, I'd go "You ar....." just like her.

I Want to Wait

Last weekend, while walking with daddy in The Curve, I saw this really interesting thing (oh no, not again)... the same old interesting thing that attracted me for the ten thousandth time!

Me: I want to ride on this (mentioning its name)
Daddy: It's occupied. Don't want lah.
Me: I want to ride on it.
Daddy: No, you see... the kor-kor and jie-jie are riding on it
Me: I want to wait.
Daddy: Mummy is waiting for us at Tesco. Come, let's go lah.
Me: I wanna wait. I wanna waaaaaaaaiiiiiiiitttttt!

So we sat down near the railing and we waited....

And we waited... hmm, why so long one?

What were we waiting for?

There's nothing else more worth waiting than... kiddy rides of course!

I Like Dr Seuss Books

It all started with this book...

From very young, I'd sit still and listen to mummy's narration. Now, I can understand the contents better and will laugh and say "very funny" everytime we reach those really funny pages.

Mummy already had in mind to buy more for me. Then she came across this great collection and immediately grabbed it without any second thoughts.

Books, books...

And more books...

I'm really a big girl now. I don't eat my books anymore hahaha! I have graduated from baby board books to children books now. I can also read and recognize certain words and phrases too.

I Got $

Lately, dunno why, I like to burst into this "I got angpau money" mode out of the blue. I have been saying and repeating it quite often, and daddy & mummy are still wondering why...

They took it as a hint that I wanted to buy something but my responses were always so innocently simple...

Story 1
Me: I got ang pau money.
Mummy: What do you want to buy?
Me: Buy vege... buy cauliflower and broccoli

Story 2
Me: I got ang pau money.
Mummy: What do you want to buy?
Me: Blueberries, banana and ermm... mushrooms!

Story 3
Me: I got ang pau money.
Mummy: What do you want to buy?
Me: Buy puzzles, colouring book and Cat in the Hat (book)

Story 4
Me: I got ang pau money.
Mummy: Again? How much money do you have?
Me: One thousand

Huh? Since when did I learn the word One Thousand? I can't even count to one hundred, let alone understand the value of 1000. Mummy was quite surprised of course, but I think she shouldn't be because I AM always full of surprises...

Watch Me Eat

At first I arranged them side by side like this and kept asking mummy to take my photo. It's my latest hobby now... arrange things side by side and ask mummy to take photo.

Look at my eyes - so cheeky and up to no good

Then I invited them for a picnic. I took away the bag and roped in Pizza the dolphin but only to have them watch me eat...

The arrangement is so funny and cute, as if they are really watching me eat hahaha!

My Favourite Biscuit

Of all the biscuits that I've ever eaten, this is my top favourite! Since I love it so much, and since it's cheaper by the dozens, mummy bought a big box for me...

My treasure box of err... not really junk la. While it's not very healthy, it's also not that junky either... just nice for that once in a while snack-attack.

Yum yum! *wink*

Colouring

Mummy still can't seem to get over the excitement of seeing my colouring accomplishment. It's like an over-night achievement which she found too hard to believe. I could colour so well, and this made her very, very proud of me...

(I was actually asking mummy to sit on the stool beside me and watch me colour)

Pizza the Dolphin

Pizza? Why Pizza? Well, when asked to give this dolphin a name (a couple of months back), I simply named it Pizza. It's just a random word, dunno why, because I actually don't even like pizzas at all.

This Pizza is not for eating. It is also not for playing. It is for sitting, as you can see here.

Paddington Bear Part II

Thanks to my two generous aunts, I got another Paddington Bear gift today. It's a bag from Koo-koo. The first one was given by Yee-ma.

Slinging the bag on my shoulder, I kept prancing around happily while yelling "I go to school ler, bye, I go to school ler!" I just love to do this... even when I'm holding mummy's handbag or any bag, I'll still say the same thing... "I go to school ler" Hahaha.

Thank you for the beary nice presents

Growing Up In The Playground

I have been playing in this playground since my baby days....

Was so cute last time (at 11 months). Now, not anymore hahaha!

Had so little hair last time. Now, not so little anymore (although it's still very short)

I pester mummy to bring me to the playground almost everyday. I love playing here because I always have the whole playground to myself! (Hardly see other little kids around) It is very cool, shady and windy anytime before noon. The equipments are also very clean and well-maintained.
However, mummy sometimes dreads bringing me here because I always refuse to go home.
