Well, here's a summary of our trip to the beautiful state of Western Australia:
1. We took the 11:50pm midnight flight on Sunday and arrived in Perth on Monday morning at 5.30am (Perth is in the same time zone as Malaysia).
Here we go again, AirAsia again... |
2. The weather in Perth was extremely hot and dry. Although it's officially autumn now, the maximum temperature was 40C during the day while at night and in the early mornings, it went down to a chilly minimum of 14C. It was so scorching hot in the afternoons that we kept applying sunblock... and we nearly finished a whole bottle of Sunplay SPF130. It was also so dry that no amount of skin moisturizer, lotion or lip balm could help. All of us ended up with cracked lips and flaky, wrinkly dry skin :(
3. This trip was a self-drive, sight-seeing road trip. We rented a car from Hertz and traveled at our own comfort where both daddy and mummy took turns to drive. Thanks to daddy's very well-planned itinerary, the long hours that we spent on the road turned out to be very relaxing and absolutely enjoyable! With the help of our GPS (that we always criticized till no end back here in Malaysia but was surprisingly good and accurate over there), we clocked a mileage of 1340km at the end of the trip.
Daddy's dream of driving a hybrid car was finally fulfilled... the Camry Hybrid that reliably brought us around... |
5. I loved and enjoyed the trip very, very, very much! I was so happy, excited and full of gratitude throughout the trip that I thanked daddy everyday. I thanked him over and over again a few times a day (while we were there) and as soon as we got home, I sat down and made him a card...
Australian animals on the cover of the card (koala, kangaroo and echidna)... I drew everything on my own (referring to pictures in one of my books) except for the outline of the kangaroo's back |
The inside... I wrote and drew this on my own (I only asked mummy for the spelling for "Perth" and "bringing") |
wah...you becoming a little world traveller already :). Next time auntie wanna go Australia can call you for advice?
