Our First Homecoming Trip - The Flight

6th July 2013 - Mummy and I flew back to KLIA on our own. It was our maiden flight without daddy around so I decided to throw her a little challenge...

Not even 30 minutes into our 3pm flight, after drinking a cup of apple juice (served with salted peanuts that I did not even touch), I told mummy that I felt nauseous. I was not sick and was perfectly fine prior to this. Mummy quickly rummaged through the pile of magazines in the seat pouch in search of the air-sickness bag but before she could find it, I had projectile-vomited all over the place!! Mid-air disaster...

The apple juice, together with the fried rice that I had for lunch earlier in a Japanese restaurant at the Pudong airport re-emerged and landed on the floor, the seat, seatbelt, pillow, blanket, mummy's jeans, mummy's sweater as well as on my own sweater and pants. Oh my, one can only imagine the mess, not to mention the stench that lingered throughout our 5-hour flight!

Mummy apologised profusely to the very helpful and understanding stewardess who in turn apologised back to mummy because they had failed to replenish the air-sickness bag in the seat pouch. There wasn't any in it. The very kind stewardess then gave me a new set of everything, including 2 blankets (one to line the seat) plus a box of tissue paper and a few wet towels to clean myself up.

No mood, no appetite... this was how I looked throughout the flight. I did not touch my dinner at all so mummy "tapau-ed" everything home :p

Mummy's jeans... soiled by her Puke Princess

The aftermath souvenirs... Tissue paper, a small stack of air sickness bag and mummy curi-curi took home all the wet towels...ssshhh! (wiped puke already, not nice to let other people re-use hehe)

3 August 2013 - Daddy, mummy and I flew back to Shanghai after nearly a month of blissful vacation (only 7 days for daddy) in PJ and Seremban. We woke up at 5am to catch our 9am flight. We only went to bed at around 1am the night before so I was extremely sleep-deprived and grouchy.

*Yawn* I could barely stay awake! *Yawn*

Too sleepy to eat... zzzzzzzzzzzz....

Our flight home was less eventful because I slept away 80% of the journey. When the meal was served, I could only manage half a bun. I even fell asleep while chewing the bun haha! Needless to say, all the food on my tray parted ways into daddy and mummy's tummies :) Mummy kept only the buns, yoghurt, muesli bar and juice for me.

This trip back was quite a memorable one for us... on one way, I played Puke Princess and on the other, I was Sleeping Beauty ;)

Rice and Dirt for Dinner

Last night, mummy cooked my favourite dishes for dinner... pan-fried fish, tomato omelette and stir-fried greens with bunapi mushroom. I was so happy with my big bowl of rice (sprinkled with chia seeds) that I kept praising and thanking her as I shoved mouthful after mouthful of rice into my mouth. However, not even halfway through my meal, the bowl suddenly "skidded" off the dining table, plunged 3ft down and landed upside down on the floor with rice and everything else scattered on my lap and all over the floor! Luckily the bowl was an unbreakable stainless steel.

Needless to say, mummy was fuming mad!!! Mad because this was the result of her repeated warnings gone unheeded. You see, I have this bad habit of not holding the bowl when I eat (I usually eat with a bowl and spoon only). I like to eat with just one hand, allowing the bowl to move about on the frictionless glass-top dining table. The other hand is usually idle or used to entertain distractions... touch this, touch that. "HOLD THE BOWL" is screamed at me almost every day but it wasn't until last night that I finally realised the need to do so.

Ok, back to the mess. I was forced to pick up everything on the floor... every single grain and morsel. AND I was told to eat it all up, dirt and all. Mummy did not care anymore if that would make me sick (the floor was actually quite clean because she just wiped it). She was fed up of nagging me and she just wanted me to deal with the consequences of my stubbornness. I was also made to wipe the floor 3 times and to make sure there was no oily or sticky residue left on the floor. I did everything as told, in complete silence (only opened my mouth once to apologise).

When asked how did I like the "gar liu" (added ingredient) rice, I just smiled. No comments. Hahaha! Evil or not, my mummy?

Continue eating my rice scooped up from the floor... a little bit of dirt does the body no harm and it still tastes good anyway haha :p

Note: I eat alone at the dining table most of the time because it is cluttered with my school books (half done homework), leaving no space for mummy and daddy. They prefer to have TV dinner on the living room sofa ;)

Pricked By My Enemy!

I hate durians. I do not eat it and I will run as far as possible from anyone who is eating it. Last Sunday, something happened at our usual fruit shop in Seremban when Gung-gung was busy picking some bananas while mummy was going through a crate of guavas inside the shop. Suddenly, they heard a commotion and when mummy came out to check what was going on, she saw me holding back my tears!

Apparently, while jumping around (I was restless like a monkey after a hearty breakfast) at the entrance of the shop, clumsy me had tripped over a small step right beside a pile of durians. In that split-second of my fall, I ter-grabbed a durian to support myself and break the fall. OUCH!

The scene of the thorny accident

Luckily it was only a light prick but it was painful enough to cause me a few hours of agony. Actually two of the "holes" were quite deep and were near to bleeding. I did not move my hand for quite a while until we reached home and Gung-gung applied some "magic" medicine on it haha!

Later that evening, I had pink polka dots on my palm hehe!

Oh yes, right after the accident, Gung-gung bought a few durians from that pile (for revenge) and they all had a durian feast at home. Of course, I quickly ran as far as I could, away from their stinky indulgence!

Oops, I Flooded the Hall!

Remember this giant roly-poly bag that Gung-gung gave to me on CNY? I call it "My Panasonic". I have quite a strong affection towards My Panasonic and play with it almost every day.

The very tall "My Panasonic" and I...

I love to hug it, lie down on it, sit on it and bounce on it

This evening, a small accident happened when I bounced too vigorously on it. As a result, the stopper on the lower compartment (filled with water) got dislodged and water spewed all over the hall!

Mummy was busy with some work when she thought she heard some water-trickling sound. The moment she saw water flowing in all directions in the living room, she ran helter-skelter and tried to stop the flow but it was a little too late...

Oops... I flooded the hall! Doesn't look like a lot of water here, right? (some flowed to the corridor on the other side)

When collected into this basin, it was full - about 3 litres or perhaps more!

Sensing mummy's rage, I quickly apologized a few times to her. I breathed a sigh of relief when all she said was "See! Give me work to do!!"

Could still fool around and make monkey faces cos mummy didn't smack me nyek nyek nyek nyek!

Note: The flooded area was our iRobot Roomba's docking point. Luckily Roomba was out on duty and the charger was only slightly wet. Otherwise, hmmph.....!

My Mummy is Mean

I have a new bad habit. I like to jump on the sofa. I have never done this before, not even when I was younger. Recently, don't know why, I have been up to a lot of monkey businesses at home. Mummy's mouth is already "sore" from the repeated scoldings and warnings, and she is quite fed-up of reprimanding me. Just this morning, she "roared" at me, whacked me and gave me a stern warning after I was caught in the act again.

By evening, her monstrous roar must have faded into oblivion as I couldn't help "indulging" in that fun activity again while mummy was busy mopping the floor. This time, sepandai-pandai tupai melompat, akhirnya jatuh ke tanah juga. She was just a few steps away from me when she heard a loud thud. A really loud thud. When she turned around, she found me sprawled on the floor, face down. I must have fallen off the sofa, hit my face and knocked my head really hard on the floor.

I screamed my head off and writhed in pain. Mummy quickly rushed to me only to add salt to my wound. Instead of coming to my aid or to check if I was ok, she came to smack me real hard (on my arm) and yelled at me for disobeying her. Mummy was ENRAGED to see the result of her unheeded warnings. Instead of comforting me, she kept jeering "Very good!" and walked away. That's how cruel and merciless she is!

Luckily daddy, my HERO, came to my rescue almost immediately. As if that wasn't enough, just when I have stopped crying (after daddy sayang-ed me), mummy summoned me to the "naughty wall" for a few minutes of time-out. It was then that she finally inspected me from head to toe to look for signs of injury...

No bumps, no bruise... I'm A-okay!

My mummy is downright MEAN, right? Well, I better not jump on the sofa anymore! *scared*

Motion Sickness

This morning, for the fourth time, I vomited in daddy's car again. It was a mere 20 minutes' drive to meet up with Aunty Moon and her family for breakfast. I fell asleep in the car on our way there. Upon reaching our destination, right after waking up from my short nap and just when mummy was about to open the car door, I threw up without any warning. The 8oz of milk (plus 3-4oz of water) that I had earlier came gushing out like a waterfall (projectile vomiting) and flooded the seat instantly, with quite a fair amount splattered on mummy's handbag and pants. Eeeewwwww!!!!

Mummy was so mad that she nearly went amok while daddy gasped at the sight of the horrid mess! Very quickly, daddy chucked me out of the car and washed the car (seat) by the roadside (parking lot) with two 1.5L bottles of water and 2 pieces of cloths while mummy went to apologize to Aunty Moon for the screwed-up plan.

Obviously, we had to forget about the breakfast because I did not have any spare clothes to change into. Hungry and upset, both daddy and mummy had no choice but to rush home for more washing and cleaning. What a bummer :(

It was so unfortunate that we did not have the chance to utilize the plastic bags that we have so readily equipped ourselves with (in the car and bag). It happened too fast and unexpectedly. I think it's quite apparent that I'm suffering from "milk-induced acute motion sickness" - a condition self-diagnosed by mummy haha.

Lesson Of The Day For Daddy & Mummy:
It took them 4 very disgusting, messy and stinky lessons to learn that:

1. IMMEDIATELY AFTER MILK, NO TRAVELLING IN A CAR FOR ME
2. WHEN PLANNING TO TRAVEL IN A CAR, NO MILK FOR ME
3. WHEN TRAVELLING IS NECESSARY AFTER MILK, MAKE ME HOLD A PLASTIC BAG

The aftermath... completely drenched in my own puke (after the car was cleaned-up)

Draped in a napkin, I slept all the way home

You might be wondering... was I sick? Well, back home, after taking my bath, I looked so normal, no one would believe what had just happened. I even asked for a steamed fishball when I saw daddy and mummy eating the tapau-ed dimsum.

It's yummy! Thank you, Aunty Moon, for the treat :)

Nope, I wasn't sick at all. Far from it. Touch wood.

P.S. Luckily daddy's car wasn't stinky at all, thanks to the very efficient built-in ionizer and easy-to-clean leather seat. Phew!

Oops!

The last time this happened was during my potty-training days many, many months ago, probably a year +, mummy just couldn't remember...

Well, I did it again today, during my afternoon nap. As soon as I woke up, while still lying on the sofa (covering the wet spot), I told mummy...

Me: Mummy, I'm wet...
Mummy: Huh? You shee-shee (pee) on the sofa?
Me: No.
Mummy: Then?
Me: *Silent*
Mummy: Let me see, you shee-shee on the sofa is it?
Me: No, I'm just... wet!

I was so embarrassed, I even tried to deny it. Good try, baby. Luckily mummy did not scold me. Accidents do happen and she knows that. Phew!

Clumsiness Comes With a Price

Nice to see, nice to hold. Once broken, considered sold.

The above phrase was applied for the first time in our lives today!

It happened in Jusco, Sunway Pyramid, when I was playing with some Christmas snow globes. Under mummy’s strict supervision, she made sure that I handled each one with extra care. After playing, mummy even praised me for being so gentle and careful.

The place where it happened...

While turning around to leave, dunno how, my arm somehow moved too swiftly and in a split second, I had swept a few of the plastic snow globes off the display shelf and onto the floor. Crash! When I looked down, my shoes and the lower part of my pants were soaked. Gosh!

Soon, the sales assistant arrived to inspect the damaged item (luckily only ONE broke) and told mummy “I’m sorry ma’am. You have to pay for this.” Mummy was so embarrassed and angry (at me for putting her in the spot), she quickly went to pay for the broken item and left in a hurry. Luckily it was only RM8.90, after discount. Phew!

Despite being extra cautious, accidents could still happen. I was so extremely terrified over the whole incident, I quickly climbed onto my stroller, closed my eyes and fell asleep almost instantly. Mummy didn’t get the chance to nag me. How clever, huh?

A broken present for Christmas...

My Careless Mum

One fine evening, as we were preparing to go to mah-mah's house, I gave mummy a "surprise" bitter lesson. I had just put on my shoes and was about to step out of the house when I suddenly felt an intense pain on my left fingers. OUCHHHHH! Mummy had closed the door while my hand was still holding on to the door frame and "kiap" (pinched/squashed) my fingers. As a result, my skin was partially scraped off but guess what? I only let out a less-than-10-seconds cry. What a tough girl I am.

Mummy, next time when you close the door, remember to watch out for my fingers, ok!
