Addicted to Jigsaw

I missed my jigsaw puzzles very much. When I came home yesterday night, I played two rounds of each set before going to bed. This morning, immediately after waking up from my sleep, I ran out to get them, brought them into the room and played on my bed.

I played both the sets over and over again for more than 20 times today. I'm like a pro now:
- I can solve the puzzles without the pictured board base.
- I can sort out pieces from the two combined sets and solve both the puzzles simultaneously.

After playing with it, I will keep everything in a box and put it back.

Mummy and Me

Today, at Mah-mah's house, I woke up from my sleep looking for mummy, calling "mummy... mummy... mummy"... Maybe I DO miss her after all.

I know mummy LOVES me... and this is how I "sayang" her...

I Can Say My Name

Anyone: What is your name?
Me: Ruo-yi

Mummy: Who are you?
Me: BB

Mummy: Who is mummy's darling?
Me: (point to myself, poking my chest repeatedly) Have been doing this since I was very young.

Mummy: Who is Naughty Girl?
Me: (point to myself, poking my chest repeatedly) Have been doing this since I was very young.

I am also learning Mandarin from Mah-mah. I can say:
- xie-xie (thank you)
- wa an (wan an - good night)
- yi, er, san, se, wu (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)

The Car Wash

Everytime daddy takes his car out for a wash, he likes to bring me along. He claims that with me around, his car gets extra clean because:

1. The car-wash gor-gors always spends more time rubbing soap on the car while playing peek-a-boo with me.
2. The car-wash gor-gors will also splash more water on the car to entertain me.

The car-wash gor-gors like to play with me and I like to watch them at work. They always call me "boy". With me around, we get better and friendlier services.

An Evening at the Park

Daddy and mummy bring me to this park very often - the Lembah Kiara Recreational Park in TTDI.

Walk, walk, walk...

It has a suspension bridge... a very shaky bridge. I was scared so I walked very slowly and carefully.

Aaaah, tired. Rest for a while...

Practice my "kau zai" skills

Very happy :-)

(Backdated post: Photos and videos were kept in daddy's phone)

The Little Destroyer 2

The little destroyer is busy as usual...

After being found guilty of damaging the small coffee table at Mah-mah's house...

... quickly put on a pitiful and innocent look to reduce the "sentence"

Potty Training Failed

It was a short-lived happiness for daddy and mummy. While my potty-training looked really promising in the beginning, it actually wasn't. I was only putting on a show to gain praises and applauds. In less than a week, I found the routine very boring so I decided not to co-operate with Mah-mah anymore.

- I refused to sit on the potty
- I refused to pee when forced to sit on the potty
- I kept creating "accidents" until I ran out of pants to wear (and gave Mah-mah lots of cleaning-up work)
- I peed on my pants on purpose

I'm not ready yet.
I drink too much water and pee too often.
Mah-mah gave up (a very unlikely trait of her, but she did, surprisingly)

Daddy... continue to stock up on my day-time diapers, please.

My Love-Hate Relationship With Books

I love books. Err... maybe not all the time. If I'm deeply in love with a particular book, I will read it the whole day and bring it along to bed at night.

Sometimes, when I like a book too much, I am tempted to commit a "murder". Geram mah... Here are two of my very unfortunate books:

Attempted "murder"... still not too bad. This book was given by auntie Sien. Sorry, auntie Sien.

"Murdered" beyond recognition... poor book. This book was given by auntie Vivian. Sorry, auntie Vivian.

Moody

When I'm moody and frustrated, I will:
- Hit my head
- Hit my face
- Rub my head
- Rub my face
- Throw/scatter things

The "Unwelcomed" Artist

Daddy, mummy... I think the sofa in our home looks too plain and dull. I have a blue ball-point pen. Come, let me draw some special designs on it:

There! Finished. Do you like it? *Feel so proud of myself* *Grin*

Bra

Me: Bra... bra... bra...
Daddy: ??????
Mummy: *Looks around to see if there's any bra lying around... Nope. None.*
Me: Bra... Braaaaaaaa...

And then I ran to pick up this:

Daddy and mummy: Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! Zebra lah!
Me: Zee-bra.

I Did It!

Hurray! I can finally solve the jigsaw puzzle all by myself! After putting the last piece in, I shouted "Yay!!" and clapped my hands. Daddy and mummy were so proud of me!

I Love Jigsaws

My current favourite toy is this wooden jigsaw puzzle (set of 2).

After I'm done playing with it, I will keep it nicely in the box and return it to its original place, placing it neatly at the corner of the table. This is about the only plaything that I will pick up and put back without being told.

This Is The House That Gung-gung Built

This is the house that gung-gung built.

This is the little girl, who lives in the house, that gung-gung built.

This is the couple, who loves the little girl, who lives in the house, that gung-gung built.

Yes, I’ve moved to a bigger and better "house". It has a roof, a big door, two windows and a spacious interior!

When daddy came home from work, I proudly showed-off to him, saying "BB's ouse (house)... dou-dou (gung-gung) made". I'm almost totally ignoring my old house now...

21 Months Old

1. Height - 87cm, Weight - about 12kg

2. Drastic progress in my speech development.

3. Can sing in tune (partially) to the music of I Love You (Barney), Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Old McDonald, Baa Baa Black Sheep and Ke Ren Lai.

4. Don’t like to be scolded. When mummy scolds me and tells me I’ve done something wrong, I’ll sulk but when she beat-beat me, I’m ok (This technique works… which explains why mummy rarely beat-beat me now hehe).

5. Can scoop and direct a fork/spoon to my mouth without dropping/spilling the food.

6. Turn door knobs to open closed doors (and even lock myself in a room) *dangerous*

7. Can recognise and say numbers 1-10.

8. Can confidently and accurately identify A-Z as well as naming them. The letters that I still can’t pronounce are F, H, L, Q and W.

9. Can identify colours and say blue, yellow, black, red, white, orange, green and purple.

10. Can piece jigsaw puzzles together and solve parts of it.

The Parrot

Finally!

While spending a week in Seremban, the “talking mechanism” in me has been triggered and I can finally talk. Suddenly, I got very interested in repeating after words and sounds like a parrot.
I think the happiest person has got to be mummy, who will squeal in delight whenever I say something new or when I say a word using my own sing-song intonation.

1. I can pronounce almost any 1-2 syllable word but need to improve the accuracy of the /f/, /h/, /k/, /l/ sounds. 3 syllable words = banana, papaya, elephant

2. I can say simple 2-word phrases like mummy’s bag, daddy’s watch (or anything that belongs to mummy or daddy) black/red/white car, eat bread, eat bi-chak (biscuit), eat rice, drink water, go there, cat mau-mau, mouse chit-chit, sit down, nite-nite, see ya etc.

3. I can engage in simple conversation and can even “argue” with people.

4. I can tell what I want (but sometimes will still cry, fuss and refuse to tell)

5. I can tell who did what, bought what, gave me what etc.

The Piano

Daddy finally bought a real piano for us (mummy and me)! Well, it's not so "real" actually. It's a Yamaha Clavinova but sounds and feels as real as an accoustic piano. I just LOVED it (only for the first few days).

I could open and close the key cover and press the on/off switch on my own the very moment I played with it. The following morning, immediately after waking up from my sleep, I ran to the piano and happily helped myself to it.

I insisted on playing with a book too, after observing how mummy played. I also imitated her actions... played a few notes, flipped the page, played a few notes, flipped the page...

Like This Also Can Sleep...

Every night during bedtime, I choose to "work out" and fall alseep on the big bed. Daddy would move me to my own "bed" when it is his bedtime. I've always been quite a good sleeper. I don't move much and rarely "stray" to the sides of the bed. However, today, mummy and daddy were shocked to find an empty bed. Due to the darkness, they couldn't see well at one glance and after looking closely, they found me at the corner of the bed, in this position...

With both feet dangling like this... Ini macam pun boleh!

Mummy: Luckily she didn't fall and knock her head.

Daddy: Maybe she did and attempted to climb back up but could only manage halfway.

Mummy: ..............

Slow Hair Growth

No, it's not growing fast enough... compared to my peers, who can have theirs tied up in cute little pony tails.

At 7 months

At 13 months

At 20 months

I only have this much hair now, at 20 months. Well, looking on the brighter side, I do appreciate my thin, baby hair:

1. It's cooler, especially on a hot day.

2. Use less shampoo. So far, I'm only halfway through my first bottle of 200ml baby shampoo!

3. Hair dries faster after a bath.

4. No need to comb hair.

The disadvantage:

1. I look like a boy.

Singing

I like to sing and hum the "Papa Mama" tune when I'm happy or when I'm in an extremely good mood. It goes something like this...

Pa pa pa,
Ma ma ma,
Daddy papa
Mummy mama
Yeh Yeh Mah Mah

First two lines: Sung to the tune of "Ke ren lai" / mi-re-do
Third line onwards: Any of the six words in random, own tune

It's really cute but every time mummy grabs the camera, I will go into "mute" mode.

At the Playground

I had a good work-out in the playground today. I love playing here.

Drinking in Style

This is something that I RARELY do... posing for the camera!

Feeding Myself

Using a fork... passed!

Scooping cut-up pieces... passed!

Scooping porridge/rice... failed!

A Day in MV

Today, I finally experienced the longest shopping trip in my life. Daddy was on leave so we decided to go to Midvalley for a stroll. We left home at about 10:30am... and came back close to 10pm! What did we do there? Well...

Playing with toys at departmental stores is a must-do activity in every mall trip. This is me playing the Elmo Driver at Robinsons.

Kiddy rides is also a must - it's my favourite. At the kiddy amusement centre in Jusco.

Lunch at Tony Roma's... I turned down mummy's home-cooked porridge for this yummy plain bun.

I walked until I was so tired, I sat on the floor and refused to walk any further (maybe I'm also attracted to the clean, smooth and shiny floor at The Gardens).

I took a 3-hour nap on my stroller. When I woke up, it was almost dinner time. After dinner, we continued walking until our legs screamed "stop", until there was no more spare diaper in the bag and until we realized we all needed a bath before it was too late...
