Holiday Activity 3 - Baking Cookies

Mummy suggested baking cookies today (she told me about it yesterday). This morning, as early as 7:50am, as soon as I got up from bed, I hurried her to start her baking engine. I was very, very eager to be her little helper! The last time we did this, it turned out to be a big flop because we didn't have an oven then. Today, we have a new oven and more tools and utensils...

We are going to bake Hello Kitty butter cookies

Mix the batter and roll out the dough...

Oh before that, fold in the flour and mix well...

Like playing Playdough

I enjoyed cutting the dough with the 3 big cookie cutters which consist of a heart, a star and a flower. Using the Hello Kitty cookie cutter and stamper set, we then embossed the prints onto the shaped cookies.

Ready for baking... big cookies (left) and small cookies (right)

Our very first batch of cookies from a real oven! (Still not very even, some browned nicely, some were lightly browned)

The outcome: The cookies were very fragrant and crunchy but a bit hard :(

Mmmmmmm... not very nice! Haha!

  8. Lovely cookies, where did you get the cutters?! I reckon it's the process that matters, not much with the outcome of the products! ^-^

I can see Chloe really had fun! Happy weekend to you and Chloe!
