SuperStar Libra - Day 3

Tuesday, 17 Nov 2009

After a hearty continental breakfast at the Four Seasons restaurant, we finally went for that long-awaited swim.

The 1st helping of our yummy breakfast

It was a very sunny morning so we quickly seized the opportunity just in case it rained again later. Finally!

The water was freezing cold but I didn't care at all... Mummy was so overly worried that I might catch a cold but nothing could deter me from having a splashing good time...

The wave-pool... every time the ship moved a little, it would create a mini wave... fun!

Daddy also brought me to the hot tub (heated jacuzzi). It was my first experience in a jacuzzi.

Hehehe... it's ticklish. How come got so much bubbles? ... but I loved it!

All the splashing, swimming, jumping and running around made us all very hungry... so after freshening up, we immediately headed to the Mariner's Buffet for lunch. I had the usual fare of rice with seafood, veggies, and of course, desserts.

After lunch, we went back to the cabin to rest.

Fooling around, making monkey faces as usual

We also played with the jigsaw puzzles that we bought from the Central Festival in Phuket last night. Mummy bought two sets for me - Mickey and Friends, 108 pieces at only 29 baht (RM2.90) and Winnie the Pooh and Friends, 500 pieces at only 39 baht (RM3.90). So cheap!

The heavy lunch plus solving the jigsaw puzzle made us all very sleepy so we all took a nap together. Later, we went up to the open-air decks to take in some fresh air and enjoy the cool sea breeze...

It was so windy, I kept holding on to my cap, afraid that it might get blown away...

This was our favourite activity... taking a walk in the highest decks, enjoying the breath-taking views and simply relaxing on the deck chairs, doing nothing. How blissful!

Soon, it was dinnertime. Tonight's dinner was a little different from the rest because it was the Formal Gala Evening. We had a nice 4-course dinner at the Four Seasons Restaurant.

Fine-dining while watching the sunset... cool, eh?

We ordered 3 sets of meals where I ate only 20% of my share and the leftovers were devoured by my bottomless-pit parents haha!

One of the main courses that we ordered - Baked Halibut and Garlic Seared Prawn

And here are some of the appetizers, a main course and a dessert...

Clockwise from top left: Escargot in Brioche Case, Norwegian Smoked Salmon with Sour Cream and Capers, Pineapple and Pink Grapefruit Parfait and Eggplant Mozzarella Tower

We also had Caesar Salad and Cream of Forest Mushrooms with Thyme.

After dinner, we went to the Stardust Lounge to watch a show called Gala Showtime: Rhythm and Dance.

As usual, instead of watching the show, I kept fiddling with the lamp and also turned back to watch the audiences...

And finally, another star-gazing night at the uppermost deck before retiring for the night...

Hey waiter, where's my beer? Sipping my water on the bar stool, just for fun.
