All this while, I have been using these small and flimsy bags that came as free gifts...
From left to right: Stitch sling bag, SE frog bag and SE tiger bag
Last year, when I was still in nursery class, I never brought any books home so I used the small Stitch sling back just to put my water tumbler and cap. The bag was part of the kids' activity pack courtesy of Cathay Pacific when we flew to Hong Kong last year.
This year, it was "upgraded" to the animal backpacks (that came as free gifts from Scotts Emulsion). However, both the frog and tiger bags were quite poorly made, especially the zips so their duties were short-lived.
When I broke the green zip a few weeks ago, mummy chided "Why are you so cow?" Today, mummy broke the orange one... oops! And I quickly shot back at her "Why are you so cow?
Well, we are not "cows" actually. These poor quality zips are too thin and brittle!
Broken zips from the frog and tiger bag
Fortunately, we have a new bag at home. Perfect timing. This is a "controversial" bag that sparked a heated debate between mummy and I in Parkson last week. Holding a stack of cash vouchers, mummy was feeling a bit generous and wanted to get me a sweet pink Hello Kitty backpack. I kept refusing and adamantly INSISTED on getting this Minnie Mouse one just because it was a trolley bag. Nevermind if it's cheaper than the Hello Kitty one, just as long as it's pink, got Minnie Mouse, I can PULL it, I wanted it...
My very first proper schoolbag :)
The bag parade... (hopefully it's not a case of hangat-hangat tahi ayam and mummy finds herself carrying it for me later!)
My gal also using a trolley bag because at times, she bring back lot of books. Instead of carrying it, let her pull it.
ReplyDeleteHehe, Yan Yan also asking a bag that can pull here n there one.. She said her classmate got wor..
ReplyDeleteI don't quite like this kind of bag, if we were to pull this bag outside the house later pull back home again, very dirty lor. I don't think i like wiping the rollers everyday.
I'm so glad my boy's kindy has their own sch bag. So I dun hv to worry abt getting fancy bags for them in their kindy yrs.
ReplyDeleteThe Minnie bag is vy sweet and very pink. :) But errr... trolley bags r heavier than normal bags, no?
Mummy, looks like Chloe not a big fan of Hello Kitty as much as you..hehe. Gwen also wanted a trolley bag but I'm not keen on the idea. The Minnie trolley bag is very nice.
ReplyDeletethe pink bag is cute. i would need to get one for ashley next year as she'll be carrying lots of books :(
ReplyDeleteNice bag... girls really like pink ya? =)
ReplyDeleteVery lovely minnie school bag. It sure can last long this time. Both my girls are using poly pac school bags.
ReplyDeleteI need to invest in one trolley bag next year, when Avery is entering Primary One. She has been using her bag for almost 3 years and keeps pestering me to get her a new bag *roll eyes*
ReplyDeleteMummy Moon: You are so right! Not only do the wheels come home dirty, as she pulls along, the bottom part of the straps will drag along the floor! Aaargh! So regret letting her win haha. I should have just bought the HK one home quietly and not let her have the choice!
ReplyDeleteSlavemom: The trolley bag IS heavy although it's empty. Sigh...
Mummy Gwen: After coming home, she asked for HK pulak... really sampat. She saw a HK trolley bag there and wanted that too but it (RM200+) was out of my budget haha.
Very nice bag..love the pink colour.
ReplyDeleteRyan is no longer using his ben 10 bag as his school has given him school bag (a compulsory-cost me Rm20 for that school bag).
YeY.. finally a proper school bay for Chloe... :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully my girl's school won't insist on it's own school bag.. because I like variety. I sew ziyi her school bag she is using now.. kindda proud when she use it to school... :)
I got the green frog bag at home, too! wakakak!~
ReplyDeleteLOL... my girl too, bug me to buy a school bag with wheels for her, so tht she can pull... =_=
ReplyDeletedid she pose herself like the air-stewardess? hahaha.. I don't use a trolley bag, but I guess with our education system, we need to give one to our child ya..

Trolley-bag is good! Put less burden, backpack is more weighty, it always successfully makes my back sore :(
ReplyDeleteMinnie Mouse, I love Minnie hahaha ^^
Amber also has the same bag, from Parkson too, a bday gift from her uncle.. she also hangat hangat tahi ayam but I don't let her use to school. We only use it when we balik kampun and she insist on pulling her bag in and showing everyone her new 'trolley bag'. .. haish... LOL
