The Sleeping Un-Beauty Part XII

Yes, this is the 12th post on my not-so-elegant sleeping positions. Well, I'm not called a Sleeping Un-Beauty for no reason...

After a hard day's work, any place is a good place to sleep...

If you happen to pop in for a surprise visit, don't be shocked to see me sleeping like this. This is a very common sight in our home....

Like that also can sleep? Yes, and it's my favourite position too!

My Little Sprouts

Every now and then, I'd bring home a little something from school, usually some handicrafts. Today, I brought some "babies" home...

It was planted last week on 6/5. In just 7 days, the little sprouts have grown quite a bit. Mummy doesn't remember learning Science when she was in pre-school. Well, neither did I. From this project, I've probably picked up something else instead... comparison, maybe. Comparison as in "so & so's is the tallest", "so & so's is not as tall as so & so's", "so & so got more than mine", "so & so's is the nicest" etc.

When mummy asked me "well, whose is the most not nice, then?" Very quickly, I responded "Mine lah".

*sob sob* Little sprouts must be very heart-broken to hear that

Inverted Drawing and Writing

There's something strange about my drawings sometimes. Instead of drawing straightforwardly, I prefer to draw in contrast, usually darkening the background to highlight the object... like this door. I told mummy it's a door...

Sometimes this reverse-pattern is seen in my writing too. And I even write backwards...

A Simple Lunch... Mac & Cheese

Macaroni, macaroni, mac and cheese,

Three times daily, pretty please...

The above phrase is part of the Mac and Cheese song sung by Barney and his friends. I hear it very often but I have absolutely no idea what mac and cheese is, until mummy bought this for me to try...

High-Calcium Pokemon Macaroni and Cheese by Kraft

Mummy rarely buys me instant food such as this but once in a blue moon, it's still ok lah. It was very delicious and simple to prepare but mummy said she would not buy it again because it had too high a content of artificial colouring, artificial flavouring and sodium... like eating junk food. Not good for me :-(

Mac and Cheese with carrot and cucumber stripes, grapes and Yakult Light (less sugar)

Nice. The pasta was one of the tastiest we've ever eaten. Cooked al dante, it was very bouncy and chewy!

Needless to say, I enjoyed my mac and cheese very much and nearly licked the bowl clean. I also finished my carrot and cucumber sticks but left 3 grapes behind because I was too full *burp*

Ponteng School

I ponteng-ed school today. It was my first time skipping school because I was sick. Yes, sick. I was supposed to be down with a running nose and mild cough. Mummy decided to keep me at home lest I spread my germs to my friends. So what did I do at home?

Sick, apparently... haha!

I was energetic and cheerful as usual, and I did not look or feel sick at all. See...

Happily fooling around as usual...

Of course, the best part about staying at home was that I got to watch my favourite tv programs, especially Ni Hao Kai Lan. Oh, I missed this program so much, I pranced around and squealed in delight when the show came on this morning.

Yeh-Yeh's Birthday

It is Yeh-Yeh's 75th birthday today. To celebrate this special occasion, along with Mother's Day, we went to the Sudu Restaurant (again) in KL Hilton for a Hi-tea buffet. The last time we dined here was during our stay in this hotel last year.

A table for 12... let's eat, drink (water) and be merry

The buffet spread was quite scrumptious and sumptuous. I think I ate quite a lot too. Let's see... I had some cod fish with rice, 2 potato croquettes, a giant strawberry, some bread sticks, a chocolate mousse dessert and lots of chocolate fondue (and a big glass of water) *burp*

Trying out the chocolate fountain... coating a stick of cubed fruits with melted chocolate... but I was actually more interested in the chocolate and would just lick the choc off the fruits!

Finally, a beautiful complimentary cake for us to take home...

Chocolate mud cake topped with strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and gooseberries.

We left for Tai Koo Ma's house to lepak and digest our hearty meal. Jeremy kor-kor had a HUGE train track (a few sets combined) assembled, which occupied almost the whole living room! This was something that I didn't have at home so I really enjoyed playing with the trains, often looking forward to see them collide haha!

Later, when we finally had room for more food, it was time to cut the cake.

Happy Birthday, Yeh-yeh

The cake was quite yummy, although it didn't quite taste "muddy" enough haha. I liked it so much, I had 2 pieces! We polished off the whole cake, leaving not a single crumb of leftover :)

MD Special: Floral Fantasy

It is a special Friday again today...

Mummy was invited to join our school's special Mother's Day celebration. The theme was Floral Fantasy. I didn't have many outfits with floral motifs. The only presentable one I had was this dress that I've outgrown so it was worn as a blouse instead. I was quite moody and uncooperative in the morning but mummy kept "forcing" me to smile for the camera...

Fake smile... but I managed to look genuinely happy :)

The first event of the day was a special assembly where all the children and their mommies sat together in a large circle. We talked a bit about our mommies and sang 3 songs... the Mummy Darling song, a Chinese song "Shi Shang Zi You Ma Ma Hao" and a Malay song "Ibu, Engkaulah Ratu Hatiku".

We then proceeded to the next activity... making a bead bracelet for mummy.

Mmmmm... it was a chocolate cake, my favourite! (I was wearing the bracelet, and refused to give it to mummy, claiming that it was mine haha)

After that, classes resumed as usual. Mummy caught a glimpse of me in action during our music class and then she quickly sneaked home.

Conditional Love

Mummy was glued to her laptop as usual when I went over to her, hugged her and said I Love You.

Me: Mummy, I love yoooooooou...

Mummy: Really? Why do you love me?

Me: Because it's Mother's Day ma..

Mummy: *Ceh, was expecting a more flattering answer* What if it's not Mother's Day? Will you still love me?

Me: *Very spontaneously* NOPE!

Mummy: *frowned*

And then I continued... (this part was not expected)

Me: Daddy also same. When it's Father's Day, I love daddy. When it is not, I don't love him.

*Crrraaaashhhh* I can almost hear daddy and mummy's hearts shatter into bits haha!

Itchy Fingers... Again!

"My bolster is broken... mummy look, my bolster is broken..." I went on and on but mummy paid no attention to me at all. Much later, to her dismay, she discovered this...

It finally occurred to her what the "broken bolster" was all about :(

I kept poking and peeling the fiber casing until it became too thin and "bocor-ed"! I also pulled out a few clumps of cotton and scattered them around the house. Me, my mischief and my itchy fingers!

Sensing mummy's fury, I quickly "pacified" her with a loving serenade... a song that I've just learned in school, specially for mummy on Mother's Day.

Awww... Mummy's heart must have melted like butter. Not only did she not scold me, she gave me a big bear hug and kissed me all over! Clever or not? Hehe!

Desa Park City

We explored a new park today. Although it's quite far from our home (about 30 mins away, plus 2 tolls to go and come back), we decided to go ahead and made our way to....

It's quite a nice park, although a bit too crowded with people... and dogs! We've never seen so many doggies in a park before.

While walking in the park, we met a friend. It was Auntie Wyneth and little Jonas. However, I was too snobbish and unfriendly to even say hello, and refused to stand next to Jonas for a photo *mummy frowns*

Running to the playground *excited*

The playground equipments were quite unusual, nothing like those found in most parks. This playground was something like the one in Vivo City, Singapore. The swing looked interesting but I didn't get a chance to sit on it.

It was very windy and we noticed a lot of people flying kites. Since we did bring along ours (it has always been kept in the car boot), we decided to join in the fun...

When it was finally time to leave, we felt raindrops falling on our heads. We quickly walked over to the Waterfront@Parkcity, which was located within the park.

We had our dinner there. There were so many restaurants there, we were spoilt for choice. We finally settled for steamboat. I must be very, very hungry because I finished the whole bowl of noodles with 5 fish balls!

There was a Max Valu (Jusco's) supermarket there too. We went there for a short stroll after dinner...
