Sept Birthday Bash

During the Hari Raya holidays, we held a small open-house at our home to celebrate the birthdays of 3 family members, namely daddy, Hayley jie-jie and Koo-koo. We had potluck lunch where every family came with a home-cooked dish...

A table full of food... 100% home-cooked (except for the snacks)

Tai Koo-Ma's Korean Soba (thick glass noodles)

Mah-mah's signature fried bee-hoon

Mummy's baked creamy fish pie

Koo-koo's colourful salad with grilled chicken (single portion here)

Red eggs (prepared by Mah-mah)

Yee Koo-Ma baked two cakes... Cake No. 1 - Strawberry Shortcake

Yee Koo-Ma's Cake No. 2 - Coffee Walnut

Both were just as yummy!

Hayley jie-jie made this refreshing drink called Limey George (7-Up, Ribena, lemon juice and lots of ice)

The three September babies: (from left) cousin Hayley (14.9), Koo-koo (29.9) and daddy (13.9)

I had a great day playing with Hayley and Jeremy. We also went swimming in the evening.

With my two cousins, Hayley and Jeremy

I was so preoccupied with entertaining and playing that I lost my appetite for food. I was hungry only after 8pm, when everyone has left!

Our Typical 12-Hour Shopping Day

We spent 12 hours shopping in Midvalley/The Gardens again today. We had BLTD (breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner) there. Yes, my daddy and mummy are THAT crazy haha. Most people cannot imagine what we do in the mall in that many hours so here it is..

9:15am - Left home
9:45am - Breakfast at SBread. Daddy had asam laksa, mummy had nasi lemak and I had bread (forgot to take photo)
10:15am - Morning walk/window shopping. Mummy wanted so badly to go to Isetan but it was closed *sad*
10:30am - Spent an hour in Toys R Us with mummy while daddy logged on to his laptop to attend to some work issues (yes, he brought his lappie to the mall!)
11:30am - Window-shopped in Metrojaya and met up with Auntie Moon to collect a special gift from her
1:00pm - Had a few rides in Jusco's amusement centre
1:30pm - Lunch at Delicious.
2:30pm - Walked around/window shopping
3:00pm - Napped on my stroller while daddy and mummy shopped in Jusco.
4:30pm - Tea-time at Starbucks (@Borders')
5:30pm - Browsed books at Borders
6:00pm - Shopped at Robinson's
7:30pm - Walked around looking for dinner
8:00pm - Had dinner... Pulau Ketam Yong Tau Foo
9:00pm - Quick grocery shopping in Jusco
9:30pm - Went home

In Toys R Us - I liked this Buzz Lightyear toy car very much and whispered to mummy "I wish I can have this".

Beautifully packaged mooncake with tea-set given by Auntie Moon

Mini Carousel in Jusco's amusement centre

Lunch at Delicious... Workaholic daddy doing his work while waiting for our lunch to arrive.

Mummy's Salmon Quiche and Daddy's Seafood Spaghetti. They lived up to the name of the restaurant... Delicious!

Very cosy...

The restaurant was full-house. It took about half an hour for our orders to arrive. While waiting, I entertained mummy with my silly antics...
(Please excuse my unlady-like sitting manner *mummy shakes head*)

Since daddy and mummy are not coffee lovers, having a coffee break in Starbucks was a quite big deal haha. It was my first time here too. Daddy had to follow up on his work issues again and needed a comfortable place to work in (and also to charge his laptop).

Coffee Jelly Frappuccino (for mum & dad only), Chocolate Eclair and Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin

More funny faces

Playing Lego in Robinson's

Watching the fountain

Our yong-tau-foo dinner... simple and filling (very big portion, with few additional FOC pieces because they were closing for the day)

And the total damage to the wallet was about RM210 (inclusive of 4 meals, some clothing for me and daddy, groceries and a toy, which was the most expensive item at RM69.90)...

Bop it!... Twist it! Pull it! Shout it!

The Morning Goodbye

Every morning, as early as 7:15am, just before daddy leaves for work, I will automatically leap out of my bed, rush to the main door to give him goodbye hugs and kisses. Very often, I would get carried away at the door, as daddy walks away...

Goodbye daddy!
Enjoy your drive!
Enjoy your day at work!
Have fun at work!
Have a nice day at work!
Happy holidays when you come back! (Hahaha! Mummy finds this amusing)
So long! But not too long... come back before the sky turns dark. Come back when it's still daytime! (And this too)
Promise!
I love you!
I love you, daddy!
I miss you!
See ya!

Really cheong-hei. Sometimes when I'm over cheong-hei (long-winded) and daddy has already entered the lift and doesn't respond to me, I will shed some tears and start calling and whining "daddy... daddy *sobs*... daddy *sobs*... dadddddyyyyyyyy *cry*......"

*mummy rolls eyes in her sleep... oh no, not again!* Here's why.

Totally unrelated picture...
... but the same true blue daddy's girl... must stick to him like this when having my toenails trimmed

Weekend Getaway at PGH

Yes, we stayed here AGAIN... my 6th time. I have been staying in this hotel (Palace of the Golden Horses) since I was a 4-month-old baby...

My first hotel stay in PGH at 4 months old (Dec 2006)

My 6th hotel stay in PGH at 4 years old

OK, we are not going to talk about the hotel and this English hi-tea set anymore haha... (Already been mentioned here)

2 Hi-tea sets at the Grand Salon

The other set was for Auntie Irene and her family, who joined us for a night's stay at the hotel.

Yum-yum... enjoying my "boxing chicken" with Krystal

Yipee yayyay! Swimming time!

Running excitedly to the pool... so cute

Splish-splashing in the wading pool

I tried on the water slide for the very first time, accompanied by daddy. Watch us go wheeeeeee!
Right behind us were Krys and her daddy, who were really slow and steady and "splash-less" haha. How did they do it??

We brought our water-shooting toys along (this time, we remembered!)

Nice shot by Krys!

It was so fun, I refused to leave, even after spending nearly 1 hour in the pool! As usual, mummy had to lure me out using these two magic words: bubble bath

I love bubble baths!

After bath, it was about 5pm and I refused to take my afternoon nap so we headed to The MINES Shopping Fair for shopping and dining. I had a 1-hour nap on my stroller while daddy and mummy shopped around. Avoiding the buka puasa crowd, we finally had our dinner supper at Secret Recipe at 9pm!

Daddy's creamy mozarella pasta with prawn and mushroom, mummy's vegetarian soba, my mini burgers with alphabet fries and our free slice of tiramisu cake (tapau-ed back to the hotel)

Back in the hotel room, Auntie Irene came over to chit-chat with mummy while Krys and I busied ourselves with the pen and note-pads on the table...

Scribble, scribble, scribble...

Habis... not a single page was spared from our doodlings, including the brown base haha!

I drew this earlier in the afternoon, with the numbers 6618 written above the cute creature... empat-ekor anyone? Hehe...

Bad English

Last week, we had a rare treat. It was a weekday dinner at Pizza Hut. Mummy had to ponteng cooking because being a klutz in the kitchen, she kept "cutting" and "slicing" her fingers with the cleaver almost every other day :( The last "injury" was this deep, painful (and bleeding) gash on her index finger which made her quit cooking on that day.

Ok back to the pizza. The meal was great. I had 2 slices of pizza, some spaghetti, a piece of garlic bread, a bit of creamy mushroom soup, some Milo and a scoop of chocolate ice-cream. Mummy ordered a Kiddy Meal for me, which came with a fun pack...

Stickers, a small box of crayons and a Kid's Teasers booklet

While browsing through the Kid's Teasers booklet, mummy kept shaking her head in dismay. 3 out of the 6 pages had grammatical errors in them...

Bad English 1... Can you understand this?

Bad English 2... Start to calculating?

Bad English 3... They seriously need an editor/proof-reader!

Mummy was appalled by the sub-standard English used by such a large and reputable pizza chain. How can this be? Hmm...

What's For Lunch? Part 4

Here's more of my healthy lunch collection... my (almost) meatless meals...

Alphabet pasta with free-range chicken egg, pumpkin and organic siew pak choy

Mee-sua with free-range chicken, carrot, cabbage and organic spinach

Macaroni with diced fishcake (homemade), egg, organic broccoli and carrot

Stir-fried alphabet pasta with diced fishcake (homemade), egg, carrot and cabbage

Japanese udon with homemade fish-paste (stuffed with chopped carrot and spinach) and egg

Kon-lou noodle with egg and stir-fried cabbage, carrot, organic corn and french bean

And here are some of the "variety platters" which I love...

Macaroni with salmon flakes in creamy sauce (self-cooked, not ready-made), french bean omelette, carrot sticks, grapes and fresh apricot

Egg-mayo-cheese sandwich with toasted potato, carrot sticks and kiwi fruit

Kon-lou buckwheat noodles with stir-fried egg and baby asparagus, cherry tomatoes, blueberries, papaya and homemade soya-milk jelly

Mini buns with cucumber and egg, steamed organic corn, carrot sticks, pear and fresh cherries

French toast (from homemade multi-grain bread), wholewheat cereal, kiwi fruit, banana, cherries and less-sugar Vitagen

Mummy noticed that I have been eating the SAME OLD THING everyday... maybe because these fruits and veggies are my favourite! A few people have asked mummy if I would normally finish the above meals and the answer is YES. I always finish all my meals, especially my lunch because I'm too hungry not to :)
