Cupcakes And Party Packs

Finally, my big day has arrived (well, almost... it's tomorrow *wink*). Mummy has planned a small birthday party in school for me tomorrow. She ordered some cute cupcakes for me (Sesame Street design chosen by me) and prepared some mini goodie-bags to be distributed to my classmates.

The Cupcakes

Daddy brought the cupcakes home when he came back from work today. Mummy and I were extremely thrilled to see this box of beauties...

Chocolate cupcakes with a few of the colourful Sesame Street gang

Cookie Monster

Elmo

Big Bird

Happy me

Aren't they gorgeous? They smell really, really good too! Mummy ordered these awesome cuppies from White Daisy Cupcakes.

The Party Pack

A few days ago, mummy and I packed some party packs too...

Goodies for 14 kids

Some small toys and rainbow colour pencils...

Smiley-face stickers...

Raisins and a bit of candies... (mummy tried to minimize giving junk-food)

Mummy divided the goodies into seven groups (each bag was to have 7 items inside). She then taught me how to pick one item each and put it into the bag. I packed the party bags all by myself, under mummy's close supervision because I tend to pack two same items into one bag. Hmm...

Sshhh... please don't disturb. I don't want to lose count!

Tada... kau-tim (done)! Can't wait to give them to my friends!

Prize Collection at Crafty-Crafted Studio

For the very first time in my life, I won a prize in a contest. It was the Playhouse Disney's Contest held by Crafty-Crafted a few months back. For the prize collection, all the three winners were invited to an arts and crafts session on the opening of Crafty-Crafted's Studio today.

The purple walls in this studio looked so familiar!

Sean, Krystal and I painting intently

I chose to make a bumble bee

Using a hair-dryer to speed up the drying process

Tada! Proudly showing off my Bumble Bee

With Krystal and her owl

Handsome Sean with his red crab

Now, what shall we do next?

The following photo was taken at home. Noticed the similar purple wall?

The prize... Playhouse Disney's goodie bag which consists of two aprons (for adult and child), two posters, stickers, a notebook and a Little Einstein audio CD (interactive activity).

This is my second surprise from Playhouse Disney this month. The first was being featured in their birthday book here.

Brand New Look

In conjunction with my birthday month, my blog has been given a complete makeover (a very long-overdue one). A BIG THANKS to Koo-koo for designing the header for me.

Thank you very much again, Koo-koo!

Self-Defense in Lalaland

Mr. Big Bad Wolf! Don't you dare come into my dreams because...

... I AM ARMED!

Mummy found this really hilarious. I was taking my afternoon nap, holding (of all the things) a stick! Hahaha! And just a few days earlier, I told her about being chased by a Big Bad Wolf in my dreams... Better be safe than sorry, I guess haha.

The Contrast

Daddy took these photos...

... and asked mummy if she noticed anything funny about it. Mummy couldn't tell, so he said "Can't you see? A Lego forklift running over the dolled-up pretty Princesses?" Haha, yes, it was indeed quite a funny sight... me in my pink, girly and princess-y bedroom... but playing with boys' toys. What a mismatched combination! From young, I've always loved boys' toys...

I even slept with the forklift parked next to my pillow haha... I like to go to bed with my favourite toy beside me

One moment love it to bits, the next moment smash it to bits *horrors*

PHD Birthday Book

The moment that I have been waiting for is finally here! For the second time, I was selected to appear in Playhouse Disney's Birthday Book again. Kiasu mummy actually sent in my photo to PHD way back in May...

Thank you very much, Aunty Ivy, for helping us to record this video because mummy could not capture a good quality video on our ancient cathode-ray tube tv.

Two years ago, I appeared as Chloe. This year, I appeared as Ruoyi. Here is the actual photo submitted...

Needless to say, I was extremely thrilled when I saw myself on tv! *jumping for joy*

Goodies from Daddy's Colleagues

Quite often, daddy would come home from work with goodies in his bag. Every time I hear the crinkling sound of plastic wrappers when he digs his backpack, I will run to him excitedly to see what sweet surprises he has brought home.

Most of the time, they are chocolates from colleagues who have just returned from abroad...

Chocolates, anyone?

Liquor-filled chocolates

Chocolate truffles

And more CHOCOLATES!

No matter what he gets in the office, he will bring them home to share with us :)

Cupcake from a colleague's birthday

Golden Boronia Nougat

Some snacks from a hamper that his team has won (from dunno what team-competition)

Sometimes, the goodies are specially for me, like this delicious prawn crackers that daddy found on his desk, twice! :)

Thank you, Auntie Carol. The keropok is so tasty that it always gets "heavily-taxed" by daddy and mummy!

Of course, there were also many, many more that we've already eaten, unphotographed.

Of Ostriches and Lucky Buns

Last weekend, we were in Seremban. Gung-gung suggested bringing me to the ostrich farm. What? Birds again? I just went to the KL Bird Park a few days ago (kindy's field trip). I've already seen so many birds there, including ostriches. Still want to go? Gung-gung seemed very keen, so off we went, to the Ostrich Farm near Pantai, Negeri Sembilan.

Besides ostriches, we also saw other animals such as deer, cows, buffaloes, a camel and cranes

Mummy kept shouting to daddy "Please don't go too near, please don't go too near!!" She was afraid that the ostrich might peck my head or face haha

The ostriches we saw here belonged to the Negeri Sembilan Veterinarian Department so entrance was free. We didn't go into the Jelita Ostrich Farm because kiamsiap (stingy) mummy refused to pay the entrance fee of RM8 per person. She felt that the three activities offered were not interesting enough. The 3 simple activities were... a chance to stand on a real ostrich egg (which I've already tried before), watch an ostrich race and sit on an ostrich (sit only, on a stationary one).

When I overheard the adults' conversation about not entering the farm, I quickly insisted on sitting on an ostrich. Mummy didn't believe I would dare to sit on an ostrich because being the coward that I am, I wouldn't even touch a kitten or a puppy! I kicked up a small fuss when she turned down my request.

We spent a little more time "bird-watching" before leaving for Giant in Senawang for some grocery shopping.

And later, mummy bought my FAVOURITE bun for me from one of the coffeeshops in town. The LUCKY vanilla cream bun in the same old yellow packaging that mummy used to love as a kid...

Still looks the same as it was decades ago

We always come home with at least 5 buns. I love it very, very much and everytime I eat this, I would tell mummy "can you buy this bun for me forever and ever and ever?"

Mmmmm... How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

A younger me eating the same bun (pic taken last year)

After eating, blow up the wrapper and "POP" it!
